Re: Big Sam
These forwards didn't score because they were being launched long aerial balls sorrounded by 3 defenders under the oaf. So yes Sully has a point.

Re: Big Sam
Big Sam also hired Max Clifford as a publicist at one point & was reportedly paying him £20k a week after some negative publicity regarding agents and transfer dealings when at Bolton.

Re: Big Sam
Presenters on Talksport are actually laughing about how ridiculous it is that Sullivan has final say on transfers.

Re: Big Sam
Had talk sport on the radio the other day, and Glen Johnson was talking about agents, said when he was at West Ham he was told to sign for a specific agent & the players who didn't were given harder training sessions and extra things to do until they did...not sure if I believe it but I'm not sure

Re: Big Sam
Was also stories of players being urged to change agents to his own representative
Ravel Morrison and I think James Tomkins come to mind.

Utter nonsense. A myth that is chucked around by the media, anyone who watched us with him in charge will show you yes we were organised, passion? Not really.

Re: Big Sam
I think selective memory there camel. I can remember some pretty dire performances under BFS too.

The common denominator problem in all this is David Sullivan's involvement.

Re: Big Sam
At least BFS teams showed some passion and fight.

This lot are a bunch of wimps.

We need Antonio back badly, as someone said on here, ‘he’s a leader of men.’

Re: Big Sam
Saw a clip of an interview Sam did recently where he criticised Sullivan "bringing him little presents." Usually a S American striker that was my faulty coaching when they didn't score goals BFS went on to say.

BFS will not be rerturning!

West Ham United[edit]
On 11 January 2013, he signed a six-month loan deal with West Ham United with an option for a further three years, becoming West Ham's fourth signing of the winter 2012–13 transfer window (following Joe Cole, Marouane Chamakh and Sean Maguire).[5] About his move, Paulista said "I think I can do my best here and I am coming to England to prove to everyone that I am one of the best strikers in Brazil and to get better and better".[6][deprecated source] Paulista was a named substitute for two of West Ham's games, against Southampton and Reading, but left the club without having made a first team appearance.[7][8][9]

Was Sean Maguire another surprise present?

Wellington PAULISTA is the name that always springs to mind.

Bought by the board. Ignored by Allardyce. Never played a minute for the first team.

Sam on Talksport now revealing how David G would bring in the odd surprise present for him from time to time like a centre forward.
Wouldn’t reveal any names though.

Oh FFS, how desperate would we have to be to indulge that walrus headed arsehole again.
The smugness would be galactic and the ear cupping?
I know we have no clue, tactics, plan, ability or direction but I’d rather be in League 2 than see that bastard back.
